September is finally here.  There are other plenty of reasons to celebrate in the fall: cooler weather, falling leaves, apple picking, hay-rides, horror-movie marathons, Halloween, Thanksgiving, pumpkin carvings, pumpkin pies and pumpkins everything! Time to transition from overly sweet and fruity drinks of the summer into fall inspired cocktails. For when your pumpkin spice latte isn’t strong enough and you need a bit of a kick, let’s take a look at the top five fall inspired cocktails worth trying!

1. Apple Cider Mojitos 
This is a classic summer drink with a fall-inspired flair. By adding the warmth of spiced rum and the tangy tart flavor of apples, this will become an instant favorite. This apple-cider mojito will keep you warm and toasty during in the cooler weather months. 
Ingredients:
  • 120ml Thatcher’s Gold cider
  • 120ml spiced rum
  • 2tbsp sugar syrup
  • Apples
  • Mint leaves
  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Ice
Recipe: Tear up a handful of mint leaves and pop them into the bottom of two glasses. Drizzle with sugar syrup and muddle together to release the minty-ness. In a measuring jug or cocktail mixer, combine the cider and spiced rum, give it a gentle stir with a spoon to meld the flavors together. Pour the cider-rum mixture evenly into the glasses and give it all a gentle stir. Top with diced apples and garnish with more mint and a cinnamon stick.

2. Pumpkin Spice White Russian
If one drink can describe the season of fall it would be the pumpkin spice white Russian! This drink is perfect for the season. It’s sweet, creamy, delicious and satisfying! Add a fall vibe to a white Russian by adding pumpkin flavor creamer. 
Ingredients: 
  • 1 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 tbsp. crushed graham crackers
  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 1 oz. Kahlua
  • 1 1/2 oz. pumpkin spice creamer
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Recipe: Make the rim: On a shallow plate, combine pumpkin pie spice and crushed graham crackers. Dip the edge of each glass in water, then into the mixture, coating the edge of each glass.
Make the drink: Pour vodka and Kahlua into glasses filled with ice. Top with creamer. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice.

3. Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule 
With its beautiful color that reminds us of the deep red colors of the fallen leaves and a light, refreshing tart flavor this apple-cran mule is a favorite for Thanksgiving! 
Ingredients:
  • 4 ounces vodka
  • ¼ cup cranberry juice
  • ½ cup sparkling apple juice
  • 2 ginger beers
  • Fresh cranberries and sliced apples for garnish
Recipe: Fill a medium pitcher with ice.Add the vodka and cranberry juice.Add the sparkling apple juice and then fill the rest of the way with the ginger beer. Stir gently to combine and serve immediately.Garnish with cranberries and apples as desired.

4. Caramel Apple Jell-O-Shots 
Remember eating caramel apples while attending a haunted house or fall event? Now imagine this classic treat in a shot glass with booze. This is a fun, yummy way of enjoying a childhood classic. Perfect for any fall or Halloween shindig! 
Ingredients: 
  • Apple Vodka
  • Sour Apple Pucker
  • 3 oz. Apple Jell-O
  • Caramel
Recipe: To a cup of boiling water add apple Jell-O and stir well until dissolved. Allow to cool. Add vodka and sour apple pucker and pour mix into plastic shot glass. Place in refrigerator to harden. Once set, drizzle with caramel sauce and garnish with an apple slice.

5. Long Island Apple Iced Tea
With apple cider and freshly sliced apples give a classic Long Island iced tea the seasonal upgrade it deserves! 
Ingredients:
  • 1 oz. triple sec
  • 1 oz. white rum
  • 1 oz. gin
  • 1 oz. apple vodka
  • 4 oz. apple cider
  • 2 oz. lemon-lime soda
Recipe: Add triple sec, white rum, gin, vodka, and apple cider to shaker. Shake for 20-30 seconds to combine. Strain equally into 2 glasses filled with ice. Top each with 1 oz. lemon lime soda. Garnish with apple slices, if desired, and straw. Enjoy responsibly!
